I am sorry that it has been so long since I provided a post. I wanted you to know I really appreciate you reading this blog and I will be better about providing more frequent postings. These past few weeks have rushed by! A few things have happened, one of which was a MAJOR life-changing thing. READY???
I have officially retired from corporate America. I’ve always known that I wanted to be my own boss, but I never had an outlet to do that with. It was too expensive to go start up a company, and I had no ideas. I knew that if I ever did start a business, something fitness related was going to be what I did. I had thought about opening a gym, but the starting costs of doing that are insane.
Then, in January 2013, I was introduced to Beachbody. I fell in love pretty quickly, but didn’t have any inclination as to where this would take me. I joined and became the CEO of my own Beachbody business for a whopping…. ready for this?…. $40. That was it. I invested a few hours a week to build something great. I also knew that if it didn’t “work out”, I could stop and I wouldn’t be out hundreds of thousands of dollars. The rest is history. The amazing connections I have made through this wonderful opportunity have been a huge blessing and are what allowed me to leave my full-time salaried position, effective June 13th. It was bittersweet… the company I worked for was an amazing company, but I just wasn’t fulfilled. I didn’t feel like I could truly make a difference in the world there, and with this opportunity God has given me, I can.
The following week I headed to Las Vegas for the second year in a row for the Beachbody Coach Summit! It was a blast, as usual. During this event, 9000+ coaches gathered to feed off of each other’s strengths, excitement, success, and motivation to change the world one person at a time. We had keynote speakers such as Darren Hardy, CEO of Success Magazine, and Diana Nyad, the amazing woman swimmer that swam from Cuba to Florida with NO SHARK CAGE! Both were amazing speakers, speaking of their lives that led them to the point where they are today. These successful people are JUST LIKE you and I – we can do amazing things, too. I will do a separate post about Summit later.
As far as workouts go, I have been all over the place. I have been having physical therapy on my back two times a week, which I DO count as my workouts for those days. They make me run on the treadmill, do several different versions of planks, bridges on a bosu ball, squats… pretty much anything that can strengthen my core to relieve my back pain. They do that for an hour, so that is definitely counted as my work out for the day. 🙂 I am starting a PiYo challenge group on Monday with several other ladies. I still have 2 spots remaining for that, if you’re interested. PiYo will be awesome to help strengthen my core and relieve my back pain; it will be an amazing workout for anyone needing better strength, flexibility, or for anyone who has been injured and can’t do anything high-impact.
My nutrition has gotten off track during this time of MANY changes happening in my life, so I was super excited when I heard at Coach Summit about the newest product – the 3 Day Refresh. Expect a post soon about that too, because I am currently on day 2 and will be sharing my personal before/after photos, measurements and also my review. Here is a quick video if you want to go ahead and check it out 🙂
I look forward to this new product because I know people look for quick cleanses, and this is one that is healthy and will not crash your metabolism. Beachbody will even give a refund to you if you have unsatisfactory results, within 30 days of purchasing the program. So really there is nothing to lose, and it is a great price this month as well.
