P90x3 Challenge: Day 5 CVX
Today on the schedule was P90x3 CVX. I have no idea what CVX stands for, but this workout was intense. Tony introduces some of his cardio techniques and moves, and many of them included weights for added resistance and lots of intervals. Tony instructed us to choose a weight between no weight at all and 10 pounds. I usually choose a 10 pound weight for things like this, but when Tony only grabbed a 12 pound dumbbell, I figured 5 would be plenty for me. I WAS CORRECT!
Basically, the workout consisted of four sets of exercises that you repeat at an accelerated and more intense rate for a second round. Each set consisted of three different exercises. We did moves such as press jacks, atlas twists, hop overs and balance pulls. I gave it my all and was basically a puddle on the floor after we got finished. You will burn a ton of calories on this one.
We are taking tomorrow as our rest day instead of Sunday, because there is a lot going on tomorrow! I also plan to do my measurements this weekend…excited! My stomach feels flatter already.
