If you’re reading this, you’re probably starting to get prepared for 21 Day Fix or 21 Day Fix Extreme. If this is your first round of one of these programs, you may be feeling a little overwhelmed and be looking for some guidance on how to be prepared!

There is no doubt that the most important part of doing a program like the 21 Day Fix is having your kitchen ready and your meals prepped.
When you fail to prepare, you prepare to fail!
Don’t let that be you! Take this opportunity to learn how to get your kitchen ready for 21 Day Fix or 21 Day Fix Extreme!
Step 1: Clean Out Your Pantry
What you need to do to get started on this process is to take a look at the food lists and corresponding containers that came with your 21 Day Fix program.
Anything that is currently in your kitchen that is not on those lists, THROW IT OUT or donate it if it is non-perishable.
These food lists are extensive and contain many different food options that will help you reach your health goals and keep you satisfied during the course of this program…so trust the process, and throw out anything that is not on those lists.
Step 2: Calculate Your Calorie Level
Open your book and in the first few pages you will find the formula to help you calculate your calorie level for the program. This calorie level will correspond with a certain number of each colored container that you will be eating every day.
Step 3: Plan Your Weekly Meals
Honestly, I believe THIS part is the most important part of your success on this journey. I know for me personally, if I have a meal plan written down for the week, it goes so much easier!
Every Sunday afternoon during this program, I take about an hour to sit and plan what I will eat for the week. I browse the recipes in the book and pick a couple that I can make in bulk and enjoy all week, and also plan out my snacks that I will have. I write it all down and then from that I make a grocery list and go shopping!

I cannot express to you enough how important this step is. Your week will go by so much more smoothly when you are prepared and have your food ready to go.
Preparing in advance will allow you more time during the week to get those workouts in without stressing over what you will have to eat for your meals.
