5 Misconceptions about Beachbody Coaching

` Misconceptions about Beachbody Coaching

I have been a Beachbody Coach for almost two years. Becoming a Beachbody Coach is honestly one of the best decisions I have ever made. I say that because I went from overweight, ridden with anxiety, working a job that made me miserable, on blood-pressure medication, YOU NAME IT… to a normal weight, no anxiety, no high blood-pressure, happiness, confidence and am now a full-time Beachbody Coach!

There were a lot of misconceptions about Beachbody Coaching that I had heard before, which made me unsure of how I could possibly succeed at this. I had my doubts and concerns about Beachbody Coaching, and I know you probably do as well or you wouldn’t be reading this post. 🙂 This opportunity went from being something I was doubtful of, to something I have a HUGE passion for. When you have a passion for something, you talk to other people about it and want to share it with others. So as you can imagine, I sometimes get push-back about it. So many people simply do not understand what Beachbody Coaching is, which is fine because I didn’t either! I just wanted to bring to you today 5 of the most common misconceptions about Beachbody Coaching that I get regularly.

1. I’m not a fitness professional/personal trainer/nutritionist/at my goal weight.

No worries! That is actually a good thing. Most of us aren’t any type of fitness professional because you don’t have to be! All you need to be a successful Beachbody Coach is the desire to help others. I like to describe Beachbody Coaches as accountability partners, friends, and fellow challenge group participants. All of the professional design of the products we leave to the creators at Beachbody. They’ve been making effective programs for years, so we leave that to them. 🙂 As far as being at your goal weight is concerned, coaches that start their fitness journey at the same time as they begin their coaching business can be just as successful than anyone else. People LOVE to watch others on a fitness journey and will KNOW that you can understand them and relate to them. When I started, I weighed over 200 pounds, and I met so many amazing people along the way that are still working with me today and are now very dear friends. <3

2. I am not a sales person.

Great! I’m not a sales person either. Let me ask you this: would you consider yourself a sales person for recommending your favorite restaurant to everyone who was looking for a new one to try? Of course you wouldn’t! I would consider this behavior to be “sharing.” You are simply sharing what you love when you share with your friend your favorite restaurant. It is perfectly natural to share something that you personally love or have had success with. That is all we do as Beachbody Coaches – we share or recommend an amazing product that we love and that has personally given us success. I share my story because Beachbody helped me lose over 30 pounds. People ask me all the time what I did to lose weight, it isn’t me “selling” to them if I am simply answering their question.

3. I can’t afford to be a Beachbody Coach.

This is one misconception about Beachbody Coaching that I simply do not understand – LOL. Just being honest. 🙂 Beachbody Coaching is an opportunity to earn money, not an effort to make you spend it. Our first goal as a new coach is to cover the cost of any of your own products. After that, we focus on building your business to whatever extent you want to, based on your goals. We never want you to spend money as a coach! This opportunity has seriously changed my family’s lives forever financially. We are well on our way to becoming debt-free and I have retired from corporate America to live out my passion of helping others. If money is a concern, then honestly, that is a SIGN that you need to do something!

4. Beachbody is a scam/pyramid scheme.

I can honestly say that I don’t receive this feedback very often, but many of my team members do so I wanted to cover it. So many people have negative connotations about “pyramid schemes”, AS THEY SHOULD! But many of those people also do not know what a pyramid scheme even IS. A pyramid scheme is an illegal business model that requires people to pay money to join and there is no actual product delivered in exchange for that payment. YUCK! Beachbody was founded in 1998 and was accredited with an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau in 2002. Beachbody is a network marketing company, which is a business model that has been in existence for many decades and has many supporters such as Donald Trump, Robert Kiyosaki, Bill Gates, and Kevin Harrington and is one of the highest paid industries in the world. I worked at a corporation for 4 years to see a total raise in income of about 6%; however, I am now in control of my income and have earned myself a 110% rise in income in the past ONE YEAR with zero experience just doing what I enjoy. You tell me which makes more sense?

5. I know someone that tried network marketing and they failed.

Yes, this is a common misconception about Beachbody Coaching. I hear it all the time. What makes it so common is that so many people see their friends start up and QUIT. Quitting is NOT how you succeed in network marketing, or any business venture. I always say, give it your full effort for ONE YEAR. This is not a get rich quick scheme, and it takes effort and hard work, but the effort will pay you back for the rest of your life. Success in network marketing will not happen overnight; the ones that stick it out are the ones who you will see succeeding. I am truthful in saying that you can not sign up to become a Beachbody Coach and do nothing and expect to retire from your job. However, signing up with the right mentor who can offer a proven training system, paired with your desire to achieve greatly, is the key to success.
