Healthy Homemade Fruit Snacks Recipe

I’ve always loved to snack on store-bought “fruit” snacks. As I learned more about clean eating, I really began to realize that the store-bought versions were full of artificial flavors, colors and all other kinds of ingredients that I can’t even pronounce!

Check out the healthy homemade fruit snacks recipe below.

2/3 cup fresh orange juice (or lemon juice if you like SOUR!)
2/3 cup of your favorite frozen or fresh berries
2 tbsp natural honey
5 tbsp natural, unflavored gelatin

Pour juice and berries into a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally until berries begin to soften.

Add honey and stir until completely mixed and fruit begins to form into a compote.

Puree mixture using a immersion blender or small blender.

Let sit, off heat, for 5-10 minutes.

Whisk in the gelatin, one tablespoon at a time. Whisk vigorously until completely mixed, adding the gelatin in very gradually to avoid lumps. (If you do get lumps, just run the mixture through your blender again.)

Pour into a 9 x 9 glass dish. Refrigerate approximately 1 hour, until firm. Cut in small squares.

These can be stored at room temperature or in the refrigerator.

I’d love to hear how you like these! <3
